I’ve always said if I could be a combination between Doris Day, Stevie Nicks and Dolly Parton I’d be everything I dreamed to be as a performer!

I have loved singing since I was little, whether that was putting on shows in the living room for family or in the local amateur dramatics pantomime.
My background is in Musical Theatre (BA honours degree, the University of the West of Scotland) and enjoy performing a wide variety of music but my heart lies with the music of 40s, 50s and 60s as I specialise in vintage and retro events ranging from cabaret, weddings, corporate and public events. I am based in Edinburgh and have travelled throughout the UK for events.
I also perform in care homes throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. This is something I really love to do and it is great to see the positive effect that music has on the residents, including those with dementia. I love being able to put together shows featuring songs for people to sing along with and in many cases to bring back memories of a time when they first heard the song.
My love of the Doris Day and her era has been a lifelong inspiration which has led to the creation of my one-woman road show, The Music of Doris Day.
The show features songs she made famous and stories from her life. I’ve performed the show at the following festivals and have received very positive audience reactions and reviews from them:
Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Big Burns Festival in Dumfries (as The Music of Doris Day)
Penge (London) Festival (as The Music of Doris Day)
I’ve performed a variety of music at several events including performances for:
National Museum of Scotland
Lou Lou’s Vintage Fairs
Janice Forsyth Show on BBC Radio Scotland
Whatever style of event and genre of music I am performing, I pride myself on being able to entertain audiences and performing to a high standard.
